I am a video artist, performer, and event organizer residing in Tiohtiá:ke (Montréal).  Over the past ten years I have amassed a diverse body of work, including: travelogue diaries, moving portraits, video performances, and liquid light shows. My films have been presented internationally at Media City Film Festival (CA), Montréal Underground (CA), Now Again (RU), Chicago Underground (US) and the San Francisco Cinémathèque (US). I have a history with film initiatives including Momentum Film and Video Collective, Mobile Frames: International Filmmakers In Residence, Common Ground Art Gallery, n10.as, Interzone, and independent screenings. I hosted a radio program focusing on Jazz, Ambient, Techno, and Experimental music, formerly broadcasting from n10.as. I currently work as a full time video editor while studying Intermedia.

My work pursues a form of audio-visual thinking that abandons traditional notions of narrative in cinema. Centered around the medium of video, I use tactics such as image processing, in-camera editing, feedback loops, camera-less filmmaking, and re-photography to transform the pro-filmic into something proceeding the actual. My work tampers with the video mechanisms and imaging technologies I am using in order to fragment the visual field into a world of unseen sights, unheard sounds, and unconscious memories. I actively experiment with in-camera editing techniques, frame rate variations, and (re)animation sequences to create a disruption of our sense of spatio-temporal regularity. Process(ing) becomes project—using different digital methods of recapitulating footage to synthesize physical and virtual objects.
