Silent Films:
Many of these films are small ideas absent of sound. Silent by necessity and design. All of these films I recorded using a variation of 3-12 frames per second and played back at 24 frames per second. The result is something inherently fast moving, speeding up the recorded instance. Little postproduction editing was done on the films, instead I cut in-camera as the film was being made. This intuitive approach subverts the premeditation of filmmaking in favour of a more free-form strategy. With these films I was interested in using nothing but my camera’s internal functionalities and my own intuition.
